Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; and you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

It was a high counsel that I once heard given to a young person, "Always do what you are afraid to do."

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

A friend is one before whom I may think aloud.

We do not yet trust the unknown power of thoughts.

All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.

Don't waste yourself in rejection, nor bark against the bad, but chant the beauty of the good.

Give all to love; obey thy heart.

We all boil at different degrees.

What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.

Hitch your wagon to a star.

The key to every man is his thought.... He can only be reformed by showing him a new idea which commands his own.

Every revolution was thought first in one man's mind.

He who is in love is wise and is becoming wiser, sees newly every time he looks at the object beloved, drawing from it with his eyes and his mind those virtues which it possesses.

Be not the slave of your own past. Plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old.

Character is higher than intellect... A great soul will be strong to live, as well as to think.

Don't be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.

Our knowledge is the amassed thought and experience of innumerable minds.

People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character.

Every particular in nature, a leaf, a drop, a crystal, a moment of time is related to the whole, and partakes in the perfection of the whole.

Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.
